Slow morning, ate breakfast and Shane did some laundry. Shane called the China Eastern Airlines, Osaka Division, to see if our bags were on the plane that landed last night. No luck but Shane was able to get the ball rolling on finding our luggage via the Osaka employees at China Eastern. We headed out about noon, caught the train into downtown. On our way in we received an email from Hotwire asking us to call them regarding changes to our November 8th flight home. Sigh. I guess we'll call them in the morning. We walked down a mall arcade, finding a shop selling underwear. Shane took us to the Osaka Living Museum, which was really neat to see the 17th century way of living. The pharmacy was especially neat, and the miniatures were amazing!

Afterwards Shane took us to an amazing noodle place called Soba. Actually Mari introduced Shane to this place and he brought us. It was set up in a typical way for the Japanese business lunch way. There was a ticket machine outside the restaurant with different buttons representing the different meals. You put in your money, push the button of the meal you wish to eat, it prints out a ticket that you hold onto while you wait for a seat to open inside. When a seat is opened, the hostess calls out your name and you can come and sit down, the chefs already preparing what you ordered. When you are done eating, you just simply get up and leave, the meal already paid for. Super easy, convenient, and fast. The amazing thing is, while we waited outside to be seated, Shane's supervisor walked by with his family. They were on their way to a performance. It was nice for Shane because he requested this Friday off to spend time with us and now he got to meet us and know we were around. Pretty amazing to run into him on a small side street in downtown Osaka! Once we got inside we ate our soba noodle, it was super delicious!

Next up was Den Den town. We made our way over and walked the streets. The boys were having a good time looking at all the video games. We stepped into a few stores looking at different electronics. Shane swung us into a store that sold refurbished historical gaming consoles and games. It was fun watching them getting all nostalgic over the games and consoles of their younger years. Tired, we headed back to Yao neighborhood. Shane took us to a sushi spot where you can either pull food from a belt or order items from an ipad which would be sent down the line. It was delicious! Now time to get home and go to bed.
