It was a noisy campground, I didn't get much sleep. The rain started falling in earnest as well. We packed up, shot off to Two Sisters bakery for some warm drinks and pastries. The rain was falling real hard now. We headed north. By the time we were following the Kenai again, the rain had let up. We decided to stop and walk in to the river to see if we could catch some more. Sure enough, there were salmon jumping where we popped out onto the river. We got a number of hits, each of us landed two salmon. Dad caught a third that escaped last minute and Mat caught a third that he let go. But the rain started to fall really hard, getting us thoroughly soaked, and Barley's dog sitter left the house this AM so we decided to head back home.

Back to the Kenai
It rained so hard on the drive home through Anchorage that one couldn't see and the highway started flooding, and it was 5PM rush hour. We decided to stop at Qdoba for some dinner and let the rain and traffic lighten up a bit. It was a good call, it was 6:00PM by the time we were done with a lot less traffic and a lot less rain! We got home, threw the fish in the fridge, unpacked our gear to dry out, showered, and hit the sack.

Heading home with our catch
