More rain this morning but we didn't let it deter us as we walked to the National Air and Space Museum. We walked a random route through the city to reach the Capital Mall and happened to walk by the Trump International Hotel, which, ironically enough, is right next to the IRS building. We had a good chuckle at that. The National Air and Space Museum was fantastic: equipment and artifacts from space. Favorites where the life-size model of the Hubble telescope, the original flyer of the Wright Brothers, the airplanes of WWII, and the aircraft carrier exhibit. We were in that museum for 3.5 hours! With only 2.5 hours left of museum time, we decided to leave the National Musum of Natural History for another day and make our way over to the Phillips Collection, stopping at our apartment along the way for a snack.

The Phillips Collection was nice to see with pieces from Van Gogh, O'Keefe, Monet, and Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party. Their exhibit was Paul Klee and the American artists he inspired. Back to the apartment to cook dinner and relax while watching the Winter Olympics.
