We made it! Safe & sound in Anchorage! Woke up to a few inches of fresh snow in Tok, it was still snowing as we left town but it only lasted an hour or so before we were out of the snowfall. The hwy between Tok and Palmer is definitely smaller than the whole rest of the route but it was breath-taking beautiful. The truck with the snow tires performed beautifully. The only vehicle we saw in the first 2 hours of driving was a snow plow! It was early New Years Day though. Drove around Eagle River and Anchorage for a couple of hours, now we got ourselves a hotel room. Big task now is finding a place to live!
