We woke up at a descent hour, spent all morning reorganizing all our gear for flying, eating yesterday’s leftovers for breakfast. We were definitely sunburned, making packing interesting. Everything packed up the way it needed to be, we returned the subaru impreza at the car rental and made it to airport. We had a quick stopover in Honolulu where we grabbed some lunch. The flight home was uneventful, we rented a movie player to keep us preoccupied. Landing in PDX, my mom came to pick us up. It was funny to watch her little Honda drive up with Barley sticking his head out the front passenger window and Hops sitting in the back seat looking out the window. We came up to the car and our dogs didn’t recognize us, barking very loudly until they figured it out. We threw our packs in the trunk and climbed into the car. The dogs were so happy to see us, Barley was in my lap rubbing his back and the top of his head against me and Hops was whooping. Very fun although my sunburn did not enjoy Barley’s claws. It was great to see them again and come home. We had a fun trip.
