Woken up yet again by the construction workers. We packed up most of our stuff since we had a 5:30PM flight to catch back home. Once we were mostly packed up, we hit the streets for some coffee and pastries then decided to spend our final hours at the American Museum of Natural History. We hit up the exhibit on Scales of the Universe (one of my favorite exhibits), the Oceans exhibit, the meteorites and minerals & jewels exhibit, the exhibit on human origins (another favorite) where we saw Lucy’s bones, and the fossils exhibit on extinct animals, including dinosaurs (another favorite). We spent a good three hours wandering around. Finally it was time to head back. We caught a cab back to the apartment, finished packing up and headed for JFK airport. We caught our 5:30PM flight back to PDX, landing at about 8:45PM. It was nice to get back to the land of cheap delicious food and good beer and see our dogs. We had amazing weather the entire time (low to mid 60’s and dry) and got to see some amazing stuff. Looking forward to going back sometime!
