We woke up after Shane left again. We felt better today so, after a leisurely breakfast, we set out for the Osaka Aquarium. We got to the promenade and found a food court to eat some lunch. We decided it would be fun to ride the ferris wheel, one of the tallest in the world. It was such a clear and beautiful day out, we could see for miles!

After the ferris wheel, we went to the aquarium, one of the largest in the world. It had some great exhibits, including a super large tank which held two whale sharks, two hammerhead sharks, and numerous smaller sharks and rays. The smart design with this place is that most of the exhibits were three stories high and the path wound down around each tank. Because of this, people were spread out along the three levels and not all bunched up in front of one window. There were plenty of places were people could sit and just relax and watch. We were at the sun fish tank when the scuba divers entered the different exhibits to clean the tanks and feed the inhabitants. The sun fish were funny, following the guy around, eyes all big, sucking the food right out of his fingers. The guy in the big tank was being barraged by a mass of large rays. You could tell the guy does it multiple times each day but it still looked unpleasant.

We finished the aquarium, got some green tea soft serve ice cream, and sat at the waterfront enjoying the lovely weather. We decided to get back across town before rush hour hit too bad. We made it home just minutes after Shane. Mat and I grabbed some groceries at the store while Shane cooked us dinner. Mari was suppose to join us for dinner but work kept her late so we'll just have to see her when she gets here.
