Pre-authorization for my hip MRI came quick! My primary care provider (PCP) called and left a message on my phone today saying I was pre-authorized to for an MRI in my hometown as long as it's done by April 25, 2019. Unfortunately, the health insurance we have won’t let me get an MRI near where we’re working in California so I’ll have to fly back home for the MRI. But I really don’t care, I’m super excited to finally get this thing done! I thought the pre-authorization would take longer since I had different health insurance when I did my X-rays and physical therapy; I thought I would have to send them forms and such to prove these treatments were already completed but I guess not! Now to call the MRI clinic to schedule an appointment! I’m not as painful as I was last summer or even earlier this year but mostly because I’ve been avoiding activity to make it worse. The first few weeks back to work made the hip sore but I think it’s getting used to working again.
