I had my MRI yesterday morning, the first appointment of the day at 8am. The whole appointment took 1 hour and 20 minutes. Half of that time I was laying still on the MRI table. It really wasn't bad. I was surprised, though, to get a phone call a little more than 24 hours later with the results. My primary care provider stated I had a tear in my hip labrum and that I will need an orthopedic consult and surgery. I am bummed to hear that I'll be out of commission that long (likely another month for the consult, then another month for surgery, then three months of recovery) but I am so relieved to have a diagnosis and to know that, moving forward, everything I will be doing will be to fix that problem; no more shooting in the dark!
