October 18, 2018 - Physical Therapy update #2

A bit of a frustrating set back this week. I have felt pain-free for a while with the ace brace I have on my hip. Pain-free enough to wean myself off ibuprofen. This week I decided to go on a 6-mile walk, flat ground, with my brace on. Well, that inflamed my injury again. On top of that, PT at the end of the week started me doing side steps with a resistance band around my ankles. Despite the band being the least resistance (yellow), it caused my injury to flare up more. Now I'm painful again and my therapist wants to back off from exercises and focus on stretches only again. It's frustrating to take a step backward after such good progress, especially when there are only three weeks left of physical therapy. Sigh.
